## Medicaid and burial money

Alaska Medicaid for older adults uses the Adult Public Assistance resource rules (7 AAC 100.400). Term insurance and burial insurance are not counted, whatever the value. Other life insurance is not counted if the total face value is $1,500 or less. Above that, the cash surrender value counts (7 AAC 40.280).
