**DSS Funeral and Burial Allowance**

Connecticut Department of Social Services, for SAGA, TFA and State Supplement recipients and indigent persons with no legally liable relative able to pay. Up to $1,800 (effective July 1, 2024). Reduced by any funeral fund, any prepaid funeral contract, and contributions over $3,400. Apply within one year of death. Paid only to the funeral director, cemetery or crematory.
