## Medicaid and burial money

For Delaware long term care Medicaid, up to $1,500 set aside for burial is not counted. That $1,500 is reduced by excluded life insurance face value and any irrevocable burial arrangement. Burial plots, markers, prepaid site services and irrevocable prepaid burial contracts are not counted. Term or burial insurance of $10,000 or more must name the State of Delaware as first beneficiary (DSSM 20310.7.2, 20310.8, 20340.1.3).
