## Prepaid funeral plans

The Indiana State Board of Funeral and Cemetery Service oversees prepaid funeral contracts. Only you can cancel, in writing, within 30 days of signing, and you get back what you paid without interest. After 30 days the contract becomes irrevocable. All of the money, or the insurance policy, must go into a trust or escrow within 30 days. A seller may elect to take up to 10%, and must tell you that amount in the contract.
