## Prepaid funeral plans

You can cancel a preneed funeral contract within 10 days of signing for a full refund. Money for a trust funded contract must go into a trust account in the funeral recipient's name within 5 business days after those 10 days. If the contract is revocable, you can cancel any time by certified mail and get the trust money back, minus any early withdrawal charge from the bank. The funeral home cannot charge a cancellation fee. An irrevocable contract can only be undone by a court.
