## Prepaid funeral plans

Nebraska's Burial Pre-Need Sale Act lets the seller keep the first 15% of the price of funeral goods and services. The rest must go to a trustee within 60 days. You can make up to $4,000 (raised each year for inflation) irrevocable. If you cancel a revocable plan, the trustee pays you the trust amount within 90 days, minus reasonable trustee charges. The Department of Insurance takes preneed complaints.
