Wyoming Department of Family Services, for people on POWER, SSI or Medicaid at death. Up to $1,500 for burial or cremation after other funds, plus up to $500 to move a qualifying veteran to the veterans cemetery. Cemetery costs are not covered. ## Prepaid funeral plans

The Wyoming Department of Insurance supervises and audits prepaid funeral money, and sellers must be licensed by it. Money can go in a Wyoming bank, trust company or savings and loan, or in an irrevocable pre-need funeral trust. Once money is in an irrevocable trust, you cannot cancel or ask for it back.
